Commis 3 – Cold Kitchen

About the role

The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal is seeking a Commis 3 to work in the Cold Kitchen. This full‑time position involves preparing, portioning, and storing ingredients, as well as assembling cold dishes to the brand’s high quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, weigh, and store food items; wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Cook and assemble cold foods according to recipes, quality, and presentation checklists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and test foods for proper cooking.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, tools, knives, and equipment; monitor appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related food‑preparation experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
