About the role

The Commis 3 – Ginger Moon supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean work environment. This position works under the guidance of senior chefs to ensure food quality and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel fresh produce.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and complete food preparation checklists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and ensure correct portioning and plating.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing, disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
• Commitment to follow safety, security, and company policies.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Measuring, weighing, mixing and preparing ingredients.
• Food safety and hygiene practices.
• Basic kitchen equipment maintenance and temperature checks.
