Commis 3 – Kitchen Team Member at Amara Lounge

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commis 3 to join the Amara Lounge kitchen at Jumeirah Living Marina Gate, supporting the preparation of high‑quality dishes in a fast‑paced, luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, measure, mix and prepare meal ingredients, sauces and seasonings according to specified recipes.
• Wash, peel and chop vegetables, fruits and meats while maintaining hygiene and quality standards.
• Cut and season various meats as directed, ensuring consistency in preparation techniques.
• Prepare basic dishes such as salads and sauces, adhering to recipe specifications and plating guidelines.
• Maintain proper stocking and organization of food items in refrigerators and freezers.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Basic culinary certification or diploma in Hospitality/Culinary Arts (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety practices and HACCP compliance.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Good teamwork, communication skills and a positive attitude.
