Commis Chef – Mexican Cuisine

About the role

Kitopi is seeking a passionate Commis Chef specialized in Mexican cuisine to join its fast‑growing kitchen team. You will work alongside experienced chefs to deliver authentic Mexican dishes while maintaining the high standards of quality and hygiene that Kitopi is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing authentic Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, salsas, and sauces.
• Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure food preparation meets quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety & hygiene guidelines.
• Assist with stock rotation and storage using FIFO principles.
• Prepare ingredients (cutting, marinating, portioning) as directed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Mexican cuisine is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Mexican ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Immediate availability is a plus.
