Commis – Employee Dining Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to join the Employee Dining Restaurant at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal. The successful candidate will support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel and chop fruits and vegetables.
• Measure, mix and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and ensure proper portioning.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures and follow safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar food‑preparation role.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Professional appearance and clear communication skills.
