About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to join our Food & Beverage team at Le Méridien in Fujairah. The role involves supporting the kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking under supervision and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel, measure and mix according to recipes.
Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
Set‑up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions and maintain hygiene standards.
Monitor food quality, check appliance temperatures and follow safety and security procedures.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment.
Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 lb for an entire shift.
Professional appearance and good communication skills.

Required skills

Food preparation (portioning, chopping, measuring, mixing).
Operation of kitchen equipment: ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers.
