About the role
The Commis I will support kitchen operations at Al Wadi, The Ritz‑Carlton Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves preparing meals, maintaining food quality, and assisting the service team during busy periods.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, cold foods and follow recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; thaw frozen items in refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and maintain food logs.
- Monitor food quality and quantity, inform chef of excess items and communicate specials to service staff.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and motivating employees.
- Follow safety, security and company policies; report maintenance needs, accidents and unsafe conditions.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
- Food preparation and plating.
