Commis I – Banquet Kitchen

About the role

The Culinary team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi seeks a motivated Commis I to support the banquet kitchen. Reporting to the Junior Sous Chef, you will help deliver high‑quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes according to Rosewood culinary standards and recipes.
• Maintain organized mise en place for all service periods.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor product quality, consistency, portion control and presentation.
• Support and guide Commis 2 and Commis 3 associates in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment and care for equipment.

Required profile

• Experience working in a professional kitchen within a hotel, resort or high‑quality restaurant.
• Passion for culinary excellence and ability to produce high‑quality dishes.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to perform efficiently under pressure.
• Effective communication in English; additional languages a plus.
