Commis II Baker – Kitchen Team Member

About the role

Rotana Hotels & Resorts is looking for a passionate and dynamic Commis II Baker to join its kitchen team in Abu Dhabi. You will support daily food preparation, maintain high hygiene standards, and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place and food production across main kitchen and satellite stations.
• Follow menu specifications set by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain a hygienic work area in line with hotel standards.
• Control food stock and monitor food cost within your section.
• Implement new products, recipes, and preparation techniques as directed.
• Coordinate with other sections to ensure cleanliness, minimise wastage, and manage cost control.

Required profile

• Completed professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Previous experience in quality establishments with solid culinary knowledge.
• Good command of English for effective communication.
• Positive, dynamic, and creative attitude.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
• Team‑player mindset with strong customer focus.
