About the role
The Commis II (Bakery) supports the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality food preparation and service in line with Kempinski’s standards. This permanent, full‑time position is based onsite in Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chef and kitchen staff with food preparation, stocktaking and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain hygiene, food safety and fire‑safety procedures, ensuring a clean and professional work environment.
- Control food portioning, wastage and cost, contributing to profitability.
- Support banquet and restaurant functions, ensuring food quality and timely service.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; HACCP certification preferred.
- Experience in an F&B kitchen role.
- Excellent oral and written English; additional Italian is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team and follow safety protocols.
Required skills
- Knowledge of food service techniques and menu contents.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety precautions.
- Understanding of hygiene, sanitation and fire‑emergency procedures.
