Commis II – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Commis II supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes according to recipes, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This full‑time position is based at the Autograph Collection hotel in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients for cooking and cold dishes.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Cook food following recipes, quality and presentation standards, and test for doneness.
• Maintain hygiene by washing and disinfecting workstations, tools, knives and equipment.
• Monitor food temperatures, ensure proper storage and adhere to safety policies.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions and containers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
