Commis III Kitchen Internship – Hands‑On Experience

About the role

The Commis III Intern supports the kitchen team in daily food preparation and service. This role provides hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen environment, helping the intern develop basic culinary skills, understand kitchen operations, and learn food hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily mise‑en‑place and food preparation.
• Follow instructions and recipes provided by senior kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and storage areas.
• Support with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
• Ensure all food is handled and stored according to hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in basic cooking, plating, and presentation under supervision.
• Participate in training sessions and on‑the‑job learning to improve culinary knowledge and skills.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervising chef or kitchen manager.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices.
• Eagerness to learn and develop practical culinary skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
