Commis III – Main Kitchen (Full‑time)

About the role

Every memorable dining experience at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts begins behind the scenes with a dedicated culinary team. As a Commis III in the Main Kitchen, you will support chefs and senior kitchen staff in preparing high‑quality dishes while adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs and senior kitchen team members with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes, standards, and instructions, including washing, peeling, cutting, portioning, and weighing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
• Follow standard recipes, preparation methods, and portion‑control guidelines.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items and assist with mise en place.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and minimize food waste.

Required profile

• Culinary or hospitality education/certification is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills with a willingness to learn and develop culinary abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment; previous kitchen experience is a plus.
