Commissioning Lead Engineer – Flue Gas Treatment

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Commissioning Lead Engineer to oversee flue gas treatment (FGT) commissioning activities for its waste‑to‑energy projects. The role ensures safe, on‑time delivery of commissioning work in line with contract requirements and HSEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and enforce RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) to meet HSEQ requirements.
• Lead and supervise commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, standards, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with contractors, sub‑contractors, vendors and internal teams to align work programmes and material availability.
• Conduct on‑site testing, record results in the PIRS database, and maintain quality assurance documentation.
• Provide progress reports, lessons learned and keep the Commissioning and Site Managers informed of all activities.

Required profile

• Experienced Mechanical or Process Engineer with a background in commissioning power waste‑to‑energy plants.
• Proven leadership in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management and familiarity with relevant legal requirements.
• Experience with LOTO/Permit‑to‑Work systems and a valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC) or equivalent.
• Strong command of English and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
