Commodities Sales Trader – Dubai

About the role

This position is with an international financial services firm operating from the DIFC. The role focuses on growing the commodities franchise by combining client coverage, trade execution and market insight across energy, metals and agricultural markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with institutional investors, trading houses, producers, consumers and corporate clients.
• Originate and execute business across commodities futures, options and other derivatives.
• Identify clients' trading and hedging requirements and work with internal specialists to deliver suitable solutions.
• Provide timely market commentary, pricing and trade ideas across commodity markets.
• Build revenue through new client acquisition and deeper engagement with existing accounts.
• Coordinate with trading, operations, credit and compliance teams to support efficient execution and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records of client activity, pipeline opportunities and revenue performance.

Required profile

• Experience in commodities sales trading or broking within a brokerage, bank or trading firm.
• Strong understanding of commodity derivatives, market dynamics and hedging strategies.
• Track record of generating revenue and building lasting client relationships.
• Established client network; Middle East coverage is advantageous.
• Confident communication, negotiation and execution skills.
• Entrepreneurial approach with sound commercial judgement and strong risk/compliance awareness.
