Communications Specialist – Strategic Thought Leadership

About the role

The Communications Specialist will lead and support strategic communications and thought‑leadership initiatives that raise Al‑Futtaim Group’s visibility, credibility and influence across key markets. You will craft compelling narratives, work closely with internal stakeholders to source insights and spokespeople, and identify industry trends that shape effective messaging. The role also involves planning and delivering high‑profile events such as global conferences and executive engagements, ensuring they align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver thought‑leadership and strategic engagement programmes aligned with group priorities.
• Collaborate with business units to gather content, insights and spokespersons for campaigns.
• Monitor industry themes and trends to inform messaging and content creation.
• Support Al‑Futtaim Group’s participation in major global conferences, forums and owned events.
• Manage the People Advocacy initiative, providing advocates with tools and guidance to amplify key narratives.
• Prepare briefing materials and content for senior leadership speaking opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or related fields.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills and experience working with senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
