Compliance Analyst – AML/KYC Specialist

About the role

EC Markets is expanding its compliance function to support rapid growth across new markets. The Compliance Analyst will work closely with the Head of Compliance to deliver day‑to‑day AML/CFT activities, ensuring robust client onboarding, ongoing monitoring and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC, CDD and EDD reviews, including higher‑risk customer assessments.
• Conduct and document customer risk assessments.
• Run sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening and escalate potential matches.
• Review onboarding documentation and flag compliance deficiencies.
• Support ongoing compliance monitoring, periodic reviews and record‑keeping.
• Assist in preparing compliance reports, management information and regulatory responses.
• Help deliver AML/CFT and compliance training to staff, including Arabic‑language sessions.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in AML/KYC/compliance, preferably within a UAE‑based exchange house, financial institution or fintech.
• Professional fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and good command of English.
• Bachelor’s degree (required for visa purposes).

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of KYC, CDD, EDD, AML/CFT frameworks.
• Experience with sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
• Ability to conduct customer risk assessments and maintain compliance records.
