Computer Science ICT Teacher

About the role

Aldar Education, a leading education group in Abu Dhabi with schools from nursery through adult education, is looking for a Computer Science teacher to join at the start of Term 2 (January 2027). The role centres on delivering lessons that inspire students to succeed, while collaborating with colleagues, parents and professionals to support every child's academic, social and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements, catering to the whole ability range in the class
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, and create displays that encourage a positive learning environment
• Observe and assess children according to school assessments, and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention
• Record student development in Target Tracker and give parents feedback on progress at parent-teacher conferences
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where needed
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's behaviour policy and act as a positive role model
• Work with curriculum support staff, take part in curriculum action groups and school events, and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers about achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
• Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of position, gender, age and ethnic background
