Concierge

About the role

The Lana, a Dorchester Collection hotel in Dubai, is looking for a full-time permanent Concierge. The role supports the Concierge Team in improving the guest experience and efficiency of processes, and acts as the main point of reference for guests' requests beyond the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Delight guests and support the Concierge Team in continuous improvement of the guest experience and hotel service efficiency
• Handle guest requests such as dining reservations, events, excursions and transportation
• Build relationships with local community and businesses and stay informed on events, dining and entertainment
• Support the Head Concierge in managing external relationships and the list of preferred vendors
• Maintain contact with the global Concierge network
• Oversee the grooming of the bell captain, luggage porters, doorman and valet team

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification or hotel school diploma
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity in luxury hotels
• Proven experience as a Concierge or a premium guest services role is an advantage
• Fluent English, the primary language of the hotel

• Excellent communication, active listening and multitasking
• Strong relationship-building and luxury service ethic
• Knowledge of property and digital concierge technology
