Construction Accountant (Arabic Speaker) – Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Accountant who is fluent in Arabic to manage the full accounting function for our projects in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves handling all aspects of accounting, from project costing to payroll and VAT compliance, independently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including GL, journal entries, AP, AR, reconciliations, accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end closing.
• Oversee construction and project accounting for multiple developments, tracking costs, budgets, commitments and profitability.
• Handle contractor and subcontractor transactions, verify invoices, payment certificates, retention, advances and deductions.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor statements, prepare payment schedules and coordinate with procurement and project teams.
• Manage bank accounts, daily transactions, cash‑flow forecasting and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly payroll and WPS processing, ensuring accurate salary records and timely payments.
• Maintain VAT records, assist with return preparation and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Produce monthly management accounts, project‑wise financial analysis and support budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Arabic speaker – mandatory.
• Minimum 3 + years UAE accounting experience, with strong construction accounting background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven ability to independently manage the full accounting function for construction projects.
• Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, banks and auditors.
