Construction Manager – Aviation Infrastructure

About the role

The Construction Manager will oversee planning, coordination and execution of aviation infrastructure projects in Dubai, ensuring compliance with contracts, codes, standards and specifications. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, the role leads the on‑site supervision team and acts as the main liaison between the client, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare site mobilization packages for temporary facilities, security, safety and testing services.
• Supervise pre‑construction activities and deliverables of the supervision team and contractors.
• Assist in preparing the project execution plan and constructability program.
• Plan, mobilize and assign tasks to construction supervision teams for each contract area.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering staff and contractors on site.
• Evaluate technical proposals, constructability and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Implement dispute avoidance and resolution methods.
• Lead the expert team for testing and commissioning procedures.
• Conduct pre‑construction conferences and manage construction‑related correspondence.
• Monitor health and safety measures and ensure compliance.
• Oversee review of materials, shop drawings, method statements and mock‑ups.
• Track progress, schedule and coordination of contractors.
• Prepare recommendations for the Resident Engineer to alert the client of anticipated claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management, preferably in aviation infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage large on‑site teams and multiple contractors.
• Strong knowledge of local codes, standards and contract administration.
