Construction Manager

About the role

Met T&S, the employment company of the MAIRE group, is recruiting a permanent Construction Manager for projects across North Africa, the Middle East and Europe. The Construction Manager reports to the Site Manager and coordinates the Discipline Supervisors in managing subcontractor activities. The role also covers HSE, scheduling, quality checks and coordination with the client, and the postman replaces the Site Manager in the latter's absence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all Discipline Supervisors in managing subcontractor activities and update detailed construction schedules, optimizing sequences and limiting overlaps.
• Ensure the implementation of the HSE management system at site within their area of operation.
• Organize and lead weekly meetings with subcontractors of each discipline, together with the relevant AST and Superintendent/Supervisors.
• Take part in construction meetings with the Client.
• Prepare a detailed schedule and define priorities with the Site Control Manager, promote field revisions and recovery plans in case of delay.
• Check that works comply with technical specifications and verify material delivery schedules.
• Work with the Commissioning Manager to ensure completion of construction matches plant pre-commissioning.
• Collaborate with the Contract department on claims.
• Carry out discipline quality inspections according to the Inspection Plan and procedures, in liaison with the QAE.
