Construction Manager – Utilities

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager – Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi and lead the execution of utilities and infrastructure works. The role involves overseeing utility works such as water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation and associated networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the execution of utilities and infrastructure construction activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage utility works including water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and associated networks.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction schedules.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, productivity, and overall site progress.
• Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and approved procedures.
• Identify and resolve technical and site‑related issues.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of works.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and project standards.
• Prepare and review progress reports and provide regular updates to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in construction, with strong experience in utilities and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale utility networks and infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, and associated utility networks.
• Experience with major infrastructure/contracting projects is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
