Construction Superintendent – Structural Projects

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead structural civil works on a major energy infrastructure project. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive daily progress against the project schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct subcontractor activities, aligning them with project priorities.
• Maintain and work from a 90‑day look‑ahead schedule, providing guidance to multi‑discipline site teams.
• Assist subcontractors in selecting optimal execution methods and monitor daily progress (PPC).
• Verify contract compliance, sign off daily timesheets, and flag scope changes to the Subcontracts Manager.
• Support the Construction Manager/Engineer in technical decisions.
• Lead safety initiatives: review HSSE plans, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce housekeeping standards.
• Ensure ITPs and QCPs are in place, conduct quality inspections, and manage material receipt and storage.
• Identify skill gaps within subcontractor crews and coordinate training as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil/structural construction subcontractors on large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of reimbursable and unit‑rate contract types.
• Demonstrated ability to manage safety, quality, and schedule performance on site.
• Effective communication with subcontractors, engineers, and project managers.
