Consultant Anaesthesiologist (Clinical & Academic)

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthesiologist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team in Dubai. The role combines senior anaesthesia practice with medical education, postgraduate training, research and clinical leadership in a sophisticated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality consultant-level anaesthesia and peri-operative care across elective and emergency procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and optimise patients for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses and other professionals within multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain patient safety, clinical governance and adhere to evidence-based guidelines.
• Lead quality-improvement initiatives, clinical audits and develop service pathways.
• Oversee postgraduate medical education, curriculum development and bedside teaching for anaesthesia trainees.
• Mentor residents, support faculty development and contribute to academic activities.
• Participate in clinical research, publications and conference presentations.

Required profile

• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology/Anesthesia.
• Consultant-level clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary or academic hospital.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching doctors, residents or other healthcare professionals.
• Evidence of research activity, publications or conference presentations.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
