Consultant Cardiologist – Electrophysiology (EP)

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Cardiologist – Electrophysiology to join our Cardiology Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and managing cardiac arrhythmias and performing advanced electrophysiology procedures in line with Department of Health (DoH) requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation and comprehensive management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
• Perform electrophysiology studies, radiofrequency and cryoablation, and catheter ablations for SVT, AF, atrial flutter, and VT.
• Implant and manage cardiac devices including pacemakers, ICDs, CRT‑P and CRT‑D, and conduct device follow‑up and programming.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, on‑call emergency arrhythmia services, and contribute to clinical protocols and quality improvement.
• Teach, supervise residents, fellows and junior physicians and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• Medical degree with accredited Internal Medicine and Cardiology training.
• Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and board certification in Cardiology and EP.
• Valid DoH Abu Dhabi Consultant licence with EP privileges.
• Proven post‑fellowship experience as a Consultant/Specialist Electrophysiologist, including independent complex EP procedures.
