Consultant Dermatologist - Aesthetic & Medical

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is recruiting a Consultant Dermatologist covering both aesthetic and medical dermatology. The consultant provides specialist care for skin, hair and nail disorders using current medical and cosmetic dermatology practices, working within the hospital's patient care standards, safety guidelines and clinical governance framework. The position is based in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, infections and skin cancers.
• Perform dermatologic procedures including skin biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, chemical peels and laser treatments.
• Provide cosmetic dermatology services such as Botox, fillers, PRP and laser aesthetics where applicable, in line with hospital guidelines.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient and collaborate with other specialists and primary care physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records in the hospital's electronic health system.
• Take part in clinical audits, research, quality improvement and continuing medical education activities.
• Mentor junior doctors, residents and clinical staff.
• Ensure compliance with DOH and hospital regulations on infection control, medical ethics and patient confidentiality, and attend department meetings and case discussions.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Residency training in Dermatology, covering both aesthetic and medical aspects.
• Board certification in Dermatology (e.g. American Board, CCT UK, Arab Board, MRCP with Dermatology specialization or equivalent).
• Valid DOH Consultant License in Dermatology or eligibility to obtain it.
• At least 5 years of post-specialization experience as a Consultant Dermatologist, including experience managing both medical and procedural cases.
