Consultant Gastroenterologist – Advanced ERCP (Female) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking an experienced female Consultant Gastroenterologist with advanced expertise in ERCP to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering comprehensive gastroenterology services, focusing on complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level assessment, diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, including sphincterotomy, stent placement/removal, stone extraction and management of biliary strictures.
• Conduct advanced upper and lower GI endoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, biopsies, polypectomy and hemostasis procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—surgeons, radiologists, oncologists and pathologists—to manage complex cases.
• Ensure patient safety through proper sedation, infection control, pre‑procedure counselling and post‑procedure follow‑up.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD) with recognized postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification and valid UAE medical license or eligibility for licensing.
• Significant post‑specialty experience at consultant level with independent ERCP practice.
• Strong technical endoscopy skills and ability to manage complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic cases.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication and teamwork abilities.
