Consultant Gastroenterologist – Advanced ERCP (Female)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced female Consultant Gastroenterologist with advanced expertise in ERCP to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering comprehensive gastro‑enterology services, focusing on complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders through advanced endoscopic techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, including sphincterotomy, stent placement/removal, and stone extraction.
• Manage benign and malignant biliary strictures and pancreatic duct disorders.
• Conduct advanced upper and lower GI endoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, biopsies, polypectomy and hemostasis procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of surgeons, radiologists, oncologists and pathologists.
• Ensure safe sedation, infection control and adherence to endoscopy safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching and mentoring of junior staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent) with full registration.
• Significant experience in advanced ERCP and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic cases.
• Strong commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and continuous education.
