Consultant Maternal Fetal Medicine (Al Ain, UAE)

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Consultant in Maternal Fetal Medicine to join a leading healthcare provider in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The role involves diagnosing and managing high‑risk pregnancies, performing advanced fetal imaging, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise maternal and fetal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for women with high‑risk pregnancies and complex maternal conditions.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, including fetal anomaly scans, growth assessments and Doppler studies.
• Conduct prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling when indicated.
• Diagnose and manage fetal abnormalities, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, pre‑eclampsia and related complications.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with Obstetrics & Gynecology, Neonatology, Genetics, Anesthesiology and other specialties.
• Offer antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum consultations for high‑risk obstetric patients.
• Supervise junior medical staff, residents and fellows as required.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology and a fellowship or subspecialty certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience as a Consultant in Maternal Fetal Medicine, preferably in a tertiary or referral hospital.
