Consultant Neonatologist (American Board) – Western Qualified

About the role

Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Neonatologist to join its advanced neonatal and pediatric care services. The role involves providing comprehensive care to premature and critically ill newborns, managing complex neonatal conditions, and working closely with obstetric, pediatric, surgical, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and management of newborns requiring specialized and intensive neonatal care.
• Diagnose and treat complex neonatal conditions, including respiratory, cardiovascular, infectious, neurological, and metabolic disorders.
• Perform advanced neonatal resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill newborns.
• Manage neonates requiring mechanical ventilation, CPAP, high‑flow oxygen, and other respiratory support.
• Coordinate care for newborns with congenital anomalies and surgical conditions in collaboration with pediatric surgical teams.
• Provide antenatal and perinatal consultation for high‑risk pregnancies in collaboration with obstetric teams.

Required profile

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Neonatology, Pediatrics, or a relevant specialty.
• American Board in Pediatrics with recognized Neonatology fellowship/subspecialty training, or equivalent Western qualification.
• Established consultant‑level experience in a leading hospital, tertiary‑care centre, or advanced NICU.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making skills in high‑acuity neonatal cases.
