Consultant Neonatologist – UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its neonatal and critical newborn care services. The organization seeks a Consultant Neonatologist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality care to a diverse patient population. The role offers exposure to routine, complex and intensive neonatal cases in a modern hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for newborns across routine, complex and intensive settings.
• Manage critically ill neonates, including premature infants and those with respiratory, cardiac, neurological or metabolic conditions.
• Lead neonatal assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing clinical management.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, surgeons, NICU teams and allied health professionals for coordinated care.
• Participate in neonatal rounds, multidisciplinary discussions, quality‑improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Support family communication, counselling, documentation, patient safety and infection‑control practices within the unit.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Consultant Neonatologist with recognized board certification (e.g., American Board of Pediatrics – Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine, UK CCT/MRCPCH, European Board, or equivalent national specialist certification).
• Valid medical license to practice in the UAE or eligibility to obtain one.
• Several years of experience in neonatal intensive care.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multilingual environment and adhere to international healthcare standards.
