Consultant Occupational Medicine (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant in Occupational Medicine to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide clinical expertise, lead preventive health initiatives and support organisational health strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑employment, periodic and return‑to‑work medical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage occupational illnesses and work‑related injuries.
• Provide fitness‑for‑duty assessments and health surveillance programs.
• Identify and mitigate occupational hazards across diverse industries.
• Develop and implement preventive health strategies and wellness programmes.
• Support hospital and organisational initiatives related to occupational health.
• Mentor junior medical staff and assist with recruitment processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve workplace health outcomes.
• Design and oversee occupational health policies and procedures.
• Implement performance management systems, including peer review and utilization review.
• Contribute to strategic planning and organisational health initiatives.
• Engage in occupational health research and evidence‑based practice.
• Conduct training sessions and awareness programmes for employees and management.

Required profile

• Medical degree with Board Certification in Occupational Medicine (or equivalent).
• Fellowship training in occupational health or a related specialty preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in occupational health practice.
