Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon – Soft Tissue Knee

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Soft Tissue Knee Surgery to join our Orthopedics Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive diagnosis, surgical management and postoperative care for sports‑related knee injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level assessment, diagnosis and treatment of knee disorders including ACL, PCL, meniscal and multiligament injuries.
• Perform advanced arthroscopic procedures such as ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration and patellar stabilization.
• Develop individualized pre‑operative plans, manage postoperative rehabilitation and coordinate return‑to‑sport programs.
• Collaborate with sports‑medicine physicians, physiotherapists, radiologists and rehabilitation specialists.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, operating lists, on‑call duties and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Teach and supervise residents, fellows and junior physicians and contribute to clinical research and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree and recognized postgraduate training in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Board certification/consultant qualification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Valid Department of Health Abu Dhabi consultant licence in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Significant post‑specialist experience as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in soft‑tissue knee surgery.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Sports Knee, Knee Surgery or Arthroscopy is highly desirable.
