Consultant Paediatric Emergency Medicine

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine to deliver primary and specialized care to children presenting with injuries and common illnesses. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing counseling within a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take medical histories, and address concerns.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries, illnesses, and disorders.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, communicating results to patients.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, preventive health, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and update treatment information.
• Develop and recommend individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications or therapies as appropriate.
• Explain medical procedures and coordinate care with other physicians and healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with medical laws and regulations, such as patient privacy standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree with successful completion of residency and internship.
• Valid state license and certification to practice medicine.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating diverse paediatric conditions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and compassionate demeanor.
• Commitment to staying current with advancements in paediatric emergency medicine.
