Consultant Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Region is seeking a Consultant in Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology to lead and supervise high‑quality, evidence‑based cardiac care for children. The role involves direct patient management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and on‑call duties within a tertiary care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of evidence‑based diagnosis, management and treatment for pediatric cardiac electrophysiology patients.
• Conduct examinations, obtain histories, order and interpret investigations, prescribe therapies and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Supervise junior medical staff, including specialists, GPs and residents, providing instruction and guidance.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with other specialties to ensure holistic care.
• Provide rotational on‑call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Document clinical information accurately and comply with hospital, departmental and DOH policies.
• Engage in quality improvement activities such as audits, peer review and risk management.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, obtaining informed consent for procedures.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with a postgraduate qualification (MD, MS, DNB) and board certification or fellowship in pediatric cardiology electrophysiology.
• 3‑7 years post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Eligibility for a valid Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) license, including primary source verification and, if required, the DOH exam.
• Good standing certificate from the current or previous licensing authority.
