Consultant Pediatric ENT (Otolaryngologist)

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE is hiring a Consultant Pediatric ENT (Otolaryngologist) on a full-time basis. The role suits internationally trained consultants who want career growth, a competitive salary and a rewarding professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric ear, nose, throat and upper airway disorders in infants, children and adolescents
• Evaluate and treat recurrent ear infections, hearing loss, tonsillitis, adenoid hypertrophy and chronic sinus conditions
• Perform pediatric ENT procedures such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and tympanostomy tube insertion within authorized clinical privileges
• Manage pediatric airway obstruction, stridor, congenital airway abnormalities and sleep-disordered breathing
• Carry out diagnostics such as otoscopy, nasal endoscopy and flexible laryngoscopy where indicated
• Evaluate children with speech delays, hearing impairment and balance disorders with audiologists and speech therapists
• Interpret audiometry, tympanometry, CT scans and MRI results
• Develop medical and surgical treatment plans, provide pre-operative assessment, post-operative follow-up and family-centred care
• Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, audiologists and speech therapists, and comply with DOH regulations, surgical safety protocols and infection control

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT / Head & Neck Surgery
• Board certification or equivalent consultant-level qualification; fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Pediatric Otolaryngology is highly desirable
• Internationally recognized qualifications (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European) preferred
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization experience, including substantial pediatric ENT experience
• Eligible for the DOH Consultant ENT / Otolaryngology classification and license in Abu Dhabi, with pediatric ENT clinical privileges, subject to UAE PQR requirements
