Consultant Pediatric Neurologist

About the role

M42 Health seeks a Consultant Pediatric Neurologist to deliver specialized neurological care for infants, children and adolescents across its Abu Dhabi facilities. The role involves diagnosing, treating and managing a broad spectrum of pediatric neurological disorders within a multidisciplinary, patient‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric neurological disorders including epilepsy, developmental delays, neuromuscular diseases, movement disorders, headaches, and neurogenetic conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Interpret and utilize diagnostic investigations such as EEG, EMG/NCS, neuroimaging, and laboratory studies.
• Provide acute and chronic care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Offer consultation to pediatricians, neonatologists, intensivists and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions and care planning.
• Support quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching, mentoring and professional development of medical staff and trainees.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completed residency in Pediatrics and fellowship/specialist training in Pediatric Neurology.
• Board certification in Pediatric Neurology (Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board, etc.).
• Eligibility for Consultant licensure with the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑board/fellowship experience at consultant level preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing a broad spectrum of pediatric neurological disorders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing and interpreting EEG.
• Proficiency in EMG/NCS studies.
• Ability to interpret neuroimaging modalities (MRI, CT) relevant to pediatric neurology.
