Consultant Physician – Burns Surgery

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Consultant Physician specialized in Burns Surgery to join SSMC in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering primary and specialized care to patients with burn injuries and related health issues, ensuring high‑quality treatment and patient education.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take detailed medical histories, and address their concerns.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and disorders related to burns.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, explaining results to patients.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, preventive healthcare, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and update treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications or therapies and explain medical procedures.
• Collaborate with other physicians, refer to specialists when needed, and work with multidisciplinary healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations such as patient privacy laws.

Required profile

• Medical degree with completed residency and internship.
• Valid state license and certification to practice medicine.
• Broad knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and compassionate.
• Commitment to staying current with advancements in the field.
