Consultant Physician - Paediatric Electrophysiology

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Consultant Paediatric Electrophysiology. The role combines clinical work in paediatric cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology with support for the division's administration and quality processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support and adhere to all hospital departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures
• Take part in the performance management system, including peer review and productivity and utilization reviews
• Help ensure adequate medical coverage within the division at all times
• Attend divisional meetings as required
• Support reporting, investigation and response to untoward incidents
• Assume other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Consultant Staff
• Diagnose and manage paediatric cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiological disorders
• Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation procedures in paediatric patients
• Work with paediatric cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, lead arrhythmia management and take part in multidisciplinary meetings
• Supervise junior physicians and medical staff

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Paediatric Cardiology
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Paediatric Electrophysiology
• TIER 1 qualification under the Abu Dhabi PQR (American Board, Canadian Board, UK CCT or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in Paediatric Electrophysiology
• Valid DOH license or eligibility
