Consultant Psychiatrist – UAE Multidisciplinary Mental Health

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its psychiatry and mental health services. The organisation seeks an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient‑centred care to a diverse international population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including history, mental status examination and risk evaluation.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of mental health conditions such as mood, anxiety, psychotic and personality disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that combine evidence‑based pharmacotherapy, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
• Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness and adverse effects, adjusting plans as needed.
• Handle acute psychiatric presentations, emergencies and crisis interventions.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification in psychiatry.
• Significant experience in adult, clinical and general psychiatry.
• Proven expertise in psychopharmacology and evidence‑based mental health care.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists.
