Consultant Psychiatrist – UAE (Patient‑Focused Mental Health)

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its specialist mental health services. The organization seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred psychiatric care to a diverse international population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis and other psychiatric illnesses.
• Prescribe and monitor evidence‑based pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
• Assess complex or acute cases, coordinating escalation, admission or referral as needed.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide education, counselling and support to patients and families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised specialist qualification in Psychiatry (e.g., US Board, UK CCT/MRCPsych, European Board, Royal College of Canada, FRANZCP, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS, etc.).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary, hospital‑based setting.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and international healthcare standards.
