Veterinary Technician

About the role

Provide comprehensive veterinary care to the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi animal collection, including mammals, fish, reptiles, birds, and invertebrates, and support regional marine life rescue and rehabilitation programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with treatments, procedures, anesthesia, radiology, and sample collection for all species.
• Restrain patients, administer injections or oral medication, and maintain medical areas, equipment, and sterilization protocols.
• Participate in emergency cases, wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and animal health research projects.
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventories, update tracking systems, and ensure accurate animal records.
• Educate animal care staff, leadership, and occasionally guests on health, welfare, and husbandry.

Required profile

• Veterinary Nursing Diploma/Degree or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a UAE veterinary nursing technician license.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a veterinary hospital as a nursing technician.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
