Consultant Rheumatologist – Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its autoimmune and inflammatory joint disease services. The organisation seeks an internationally trained Consultant Rheumatologist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering high‑quality care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease, vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and other autoimmune disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor DMARDs, biologics, immunosuppressants and infusion therapies safely.
• Perform joint assessments, injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound within scope.
• Coordinate care with nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and physiotherapy.
• Educate patients on disease control, medication safety, lifestyle and flare management.
• Support registry participation, audit, safety monitoring and evidence‑based protocols.

Required profile

• Strong clinical judgement with a commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance.
