Consultant Rheumatologist – Competitive Package in UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its autoimmune and inflammatory joint disease services. The role offers an experienced Consultant Rheumatologist the chance to work in a modern, quality‑driven environment serving a diverse patient population while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and other autoimmune disorders.
• Prescribe, monitor and adjust disease‑modifying anti‑rheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic agents and immunosuppressants, including infusion therapies.
• Perform joint assessments, intra‑articular injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations within scope of practice.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care with nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and physiotherapy teams.
• Educate patients on disease management, medication safety, lifestyle modifications and flare handling.
• Contribute to clinical registries, audits, safety monitoring and development of evidence‑based protocols.

• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance.
