Consultant / Senior Consultant - Internal Auditor (Capital Projects & Consulting)

About the role

Protiviti is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant in its Capital Projects & Construction practice, based in the Abu Dhabi, UAE office. The role is open to bilingual Arabic speakers and focuses on developing business, serving clients and delivering projects with outstanding quality. Consultants build contacts in the business community and act as ambassadors of the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advisory and assurance assignments end to end for regional clients.
• Advise client organisations on implementing the Capital Projects programme and drive client satisfaction through effective coordination and communication.
• Support Managers and Directors in understanding client needs and developing proposals and supporting materials.
• Build a strong network of contacts and use it for business development.
• Work independently and manage multiple engagements at once.
• Prepare client presentations for CXOs, Boards of Directors and Audit Committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, electrical, civil, construction) or architecture, or a Master's in Business Administration (finance, strategy, operations, general management).
• At least 3 years of consulting experience with in-depth knowledge of capital projects, ideally after working in a Big 4 firm in the region.
• Strong local or regional network and active membership of trade and professional associations.
• Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a team environment.
• Ability to travel and work in other locations; flexibility to relocate is essential.

Required skills

• Project management, cost estimation, quantity surveying, budgeting and accounting.
• Project controls, QA/QC, contract administration, procurement and construction/project risk management.
• Exposure to project management and operations reviews, BPI and PMO, and digital interventions in project management.
• Diverse industry exposure such as rail transport, real estate, contracting, infrastructure, oil & gas and industrial projects.
