About the role

The Controller, Financial & Reporting oversees the financial operations and reporting processes of the organization. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides accurate financial data for decision-making and supports strategic planning through detailed financial analysis, while maintaining the integrity of financial systems and fostering accountability and transparency within the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Advise senior management on financial strategies and risk management practices.
• Ensure budgeting and forecasting align with organizational goals.
• Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Guide the finance team in resolving complex accounting issues and improving reporting processes.
• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors during audits.
• Lead cross-functional teams, oversee the integration of financial systems and tools, and set benchmarks for financial performance.
• Collaborate with other departments and ensure timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management and reporting.
• CFA, CA, CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Required skills

• Analytical accounting and highly numerate, analytical skills.
• Core competencies as defined in the approved competency dictionary.
