Consultant Specialist General Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Specialist General Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering high‑quality surgical care across a broad range of adult procedures, both elective and emergency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive surgical consultations and pre‑operative assessments.
• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of surgical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Perform open and laparoscopic general surgical procedures, including hernia repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and other interventions.
• Manage acute surgical emergencies such as acute abdomen, infections, and bleeding.
• Provide post‑operative care, monitor for complications, and coordinate further interventions when needed.
• Participate in emergency surgical call, multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and teaching activities.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in General Surgery.
• Relevant post‑specialisation clinical experience in general and laparoscopic surgery.
• Ability to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
