Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist – Respiratory & Lung Medicine

About the role

A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonary Care services and seeks a qualified Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The role delivers comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases within a modern hospital environment equipped with advanced pulmonary diagnostics, imaging, and critical care facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis and other common respiratory diseases.
• Evaluate and treat complex conditions such as interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry and related investigations.
• Conduct bronchoscopy and other pulmonary procedures when indicated.
• Manage sleep‑related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, and coordinate sleep studies.
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute respiratory failure and severe pulmonary infections.
• Collaborate with critical‑care teams in the management of ventilated or critically ill patients.
• Develop personalised treatment plans and long‑term disease‑management strategies for chronic lung conditions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years post‑specialist or board certification experience.
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Internal Medicine – Pulmonary Medicine, UK CCT/MRCP/FRCP, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACP, Arab Board, DM/DNB/MD/FCPS).
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing in the UAE (support provided).

Required skills
