Content Development Intern

About the role

Power to Change's Digital Strategies ministry, which uses digital tools to help people know Jesus online, is looking for a Content Development Intern. The intern works mainly with the Content Team to develop online content and systems that increase the reach of the ministry's websites, including issuesiface.com and thelife.com. The position is remote, reports to the Content Strategist and is funded through Ministry Partner Development.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Content Team on content and content strategy, and prepare for monthly Content Strategy Meetings with ideas of content you want to write.
• Write content for Issues I Face or The Life, chosen by the team during content meetings.
• Learn from the content team and grow as a writer and content developer.
• Help write, edit, publish and promote daily devotionals, newsletters and articles.
• Submit all your own content for editing and suggestions to improve as a writer.
• Understand the needs of online mentors so they can guide the type of content produced each month.
• Contribute to the wider Digital Strategies team and take part in weekly prayer meetings, community times and team meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in writing and editing, with examples of written work provided.
• Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Theology or a related field.
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and adherence to the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith.
• Willingness to learn and be trained, and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Ability to learn web technologies and applications quickly.
• Attention to detail, creativity, organization and planning, and efficient use of time.
• An asset: working knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
